Imagine walking into a brilliantly lit room, but with no visible light fixture. Instead of seeing an ugly old bulb, or bulky light fixture, the light in the room seems to smoothly flow from around corners or from along the lines of the ceiling. This is the beautiful lighting effect that can be achieved with KLUS’s new POLI LED lighting extrusion.
Light from this extrusion achieves the “smooth” effect because the the light beam angle can be controlled within a range of 90 degrees. The light from the fixture can be pointed to bounce or reflect off of other surfaces which illuminates the space with indirect light.
The POLI LED lighting system is perfect for illuminating niches, ceiling coves, and walls. Another main advantages of the POLI extrusion is that it can be mounted in spots that are not accessible with mounting tools.
It is made from high quality, double anodized aluminum and designed for flexible or rigid LED strips that are 8 – 10mm wide. One of the accessories offered for the extrusion are covers that shade and protect the LEDs inside the profile.
There are several different types of covers available: Cover K, HS, (frosted or clear) or LIGER (frosted matte).
HS covers are resistance to all weather conditions, UV radiation, and are flame retardant. Use end caps to protect the extrusion from dust and other undesirable elements, which can make the LED strips dirty and consequently deteriorate the lighting parameters.
The extrusion and its mounting brackets enable smooth light angle regulation up to 90 degrees. The extrusion is snapped into the mounting bracket which is designed in a way that the chosen light angle can be locked into a set position. The mounting brackets can be mounted to various surfaces with the use of a majority of mounting adhesives available on the market and can also be painted in any color, for example the color of the mounting surface.
The POLI LED lighting extrusion can also be assembled to be waterproof and have its ingress protection rating equal IP65.
